| The
decision to build a log home can be created by many different factors but
usually begins with a dream.
When
we first met Chuck and Karen Milazzo in 1997 they were visiting a local
home show for ideas for their future. They were both completing Pharmacy
School in Philadelphia and getting ready to move back to their hometown
outside of Wilkes-Barre, PA.
They
found a perfect piece of wooded land that just happened to be nearby two
existing Lincoln Logs Ltd. homes. One of the homes had the design
they loved, a Bristol III. They changed the floor plan to flow according
to their idea of placement for view and sun. The result is the home
you see, an 1898 square foot beauty.
The
first floor has a large open great room with high cathedral ceiling which
flows right into the wing which includes a large, airy kitchen and dining
area. There are two bedrooms and a bath also on the first floor at
the rear of the home.
The
second floor provides a large Master Bedroom with walk-in-closet and Master
Bath leading out to a large open loft overlooking the great room and offering
a fantastic view of the surrounding country area.
The
Milazzo's had a local contractor construct the shell of the house in 1999
and they, along with family and friends, completed the interior.
Today
the home is totally completed with a fantastic job of interior decorating,
the landscaping is in stages of completion and a baby daughter has arrived
to occupy one of the first floor bedrooms. |
